It was another exciting week to be a Gator!
Our Kindergarteners and First Graders enjoyed fun field trips. The Kindergarteners saw a performance of the Pout Pout Fish at Ridgefield Playhouse. The First Graders learned about marine life at the Norwalk Aquarium. Thank you to our enrichment co-chairs Lizzy Del Giudice and Suzanne Broadbent for organizing!
On Friday, the PTA hosted our annual Mother Son Kickball night! The boys took on their mothers in exciting games, and our Gators cheered on one another. Fun was had by all! It was a great kickoff to Mother's Day weekend. Big thanks to our fundraising co-chairs Jenn Kemka and Luisa Pellegrino for organizing!
On Saturday, the Glenville PTA hosted 26 elementary students from around the GPS district for the inaugural Greenwich Elementary Chess Tournament. We had a great turnout from our Glenville Gators, and we were thrilled to welcome families from North Minus, Riverside, ISD, Julian Curtis, Parkway, and North Street to our school. Congratulations to our very own 4th grader, Thomas Bae, who won 1st place in the Secondary Division (3-5th grade)! Honorable mention in the same division for representing Glenville to 3rd place winner, Alex Ing (grade 3), and 4th place winner, Mason Shin (grade 4)! Big thank you to our PTA president Katie Bacon for spearheading this event!
