We hope everyone had a great week back after break! We have lots in store between now and Spring Break (6 weeks away, but who's counting?!?) and we don't want you to miss a thing!

Our 3rd to 5th graders enjoyed meeting critically acclaimed author Janae Marks on Thursday, February 23.  

She spoke about how she decided to become an author and the journey it took to reach that goal. It took her many years and many drafts to get her first book published. She also shared how the cover of From the Desk of Zoe Washington was created.

A key message that the students took away was that the road to success can take many twists and turns, but success is possible with perseverance!

Kids got a chance to ask questions and there were lots!

The Greenwich Alliance for Education and the 8th Grade DC Trip Fundraising Committee invite you to Dancing for DC, an event to benefit the 8th Grade Washington DC Trip Fund.  Please join us Wednesday, March 8 from 6-9pm at the Old Greenwich Social Club for dancing and live music by local band The Tide.  Cash bar and food available for purchase. Ticket sales directly fund our effort for this year and beyond; the Old Greenwich Social Club will also donate 10% of all food and beverage sales that evening. 

Tickets are $50 per entry and must be purchased in advance HERE. 

We also have an exciting RAFFLE with prizes from your favorite local merchants.  You do not need to purchase event tickets or be present at the event to win!  Raffle tickets can be purchased HERE.
