Big congratulations to all of our students that participated in this year's Spelling Bee on Tuesday! After 17 intense rounds, we are proud to present to you Glenville's 2023 Spelling Bee champion...

Thanks to our Enrichment Co-chairs, Suzanne Broadbent and Lizzy Del Giudice, the fourth graders had a visit from the Eli Whitney Museum on Tuesday. Students learned about electrical currents and magnetism using a coil of wire, bar magnets, and a battery.  

Author Janae Marks will be visiting Glenville's 3rd-5th graders for an assembly on Thursday, February 23, 2023. Her books From the Desk of Zoe Washington and On Air with Zoe Washington are available to order HERE.

Due to time constraints, Ms. Marks will not be signing books on the day of her visit, but will be providing bookplates before or after the assembly. 

Janae Marks is the critically acclaimed author of middle grade novels From the Desk of Zoe Washington, A Soft Place to Land, and On Air with Zoe Washington. She is also part of the middle grade anthology Hope Wins, edited by Rose Brock. Her novels have been named Best Book of the Year by Parents Magazine, Chicago Public Library, the Boston Globe, the Bank Street College of Education, and others.
