Open House is THIS Thursday!

Glenville Open House is Thursday, October 13. This is a great opportunity to meet your child's teacher and learn what is happening in the classroom this year! The schedule will be as follows:

5:30-6:30 5th Grade ALP ONLY

6:00-6:30 Kindergarten, 2nd and 4th grades homerooms

Specialists and Special Education providers for 1st, 3rd and 5th 

6:10-6:30 3rd Grade ALP ONLY

6:30-7:00 1st, 3rd and 5th grades homerooms

Specialists and Special Education providers for K, 2nd and 4th

6:40-7:00 4th Grade ALP ONLY

You'll do the carving at home and drop your pumpkin(s) off in advance. Purchase as many entries as you'd like to compete in our FIVE prize-winning categories:

Scariest, Funniest, Cutest, Best School Spirit & Most Creative!

You'll do the judging as you walk through our spooky path and get a close-up view of all the entries. Voting will be done on mobile phones using a QR code. 

The winner of each category will receive a $100 Amazon gift card, a grab bag of school swag and a $50 gift card to spend on Gator Gear!


PURCHASE YOUR TICKETS TO THE EVENT!

See Glenville School transformed into a glowing Halloween Spooktacular, vote on your favorite pumpkins, and find your way through the inflatable haunted maze! Get in on the fun and wear your costumes! All kids will receive a goody bag! Bring your family & friends!

Tickets for entry are $15/person, ages 3 & under are free.


BUY TICKETS FOR THE VIRTUAL 50/50 RAFFLE!

Grand prize winner will be pulled electronically on October 22 at 8:30pm.


GRAB SOME GRUB

After working up an appetite on our spooky trail of expertly crafted pumpkins, stop and grab some Food Truck Favorites!

Wendy's Weenie's, Kona Ice, and El Chilito Taco Truck will be available with food for purchase.


DETAILS ON CONTEST ENTRIES:

Each entry may include as many pumpkins or props as you would like (you provide); you may even create a "scene" (like the Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze in Croton). Pumpkins can be carved, decorated or both. Please provide your own LED lights for all pumpkins. Each entry will be given a number, which will be posted next to your display for voting.

Families will set their pumpkins up on the school field between 11am-2pm on Saturday, 10/22.

After the event, pumpkins must be picked up by 5pm on Sunday, 10/23.


In the event of inclement weather we will move the Glow inside!

Greenwich Library Opening Night

OPENING NIGHT at Greenwich Library will feature a performance by the Martha Graham Dance Company in the newly renovated Berkley Theater on Friday, October 14.  

Center Stage programs are free and accessible to all members of the Greenwich Community.

Abilis Walk/Run

When: Sunday, October 16 (Registration opens at 7:30 am)

Where: Greenwich Point Park (Tod’s Point) in the Clambake Area

Abilis, a leader in serving the disability community in lower Fairfield County, provides services and supports for more than 800 individuals with disabilities and their families. Funds raised from the 17th annual Walk/Run for Abilis will support all of Abilis’ programs and services.

When: Sunday, October 16, 2 to 5:30 pm
Where: Greenwich Polo Club

Fundraiser in Memory of Julian McRandal (Adults Only)
Helping Others While Remembering Julian McRandal's Fighting Spirit!

The Greenwich Knights of Columbus are holding their Annual Halloween Fundraiser with all proceeds this year donated to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center - Pediatrics in memory of Julian McRandal.  Please come out and continue to celebrate the life of Julian and help others battle cancer!
